My life, like yours, has most likely been like a winding road with joyous mountain tops and heart-breaking valleys. Each of us has unique experiences from our moments of triumph, like when I married Jean and accepted Jesus as my Lord when Jessica (my daughter) was born, and then the birth of each of our grandkids, and being part of well over 150 baptisms.
Like most of you, I have had my struggles. Like the year I spent at Vanderbilt Hospital battling cancer with the whole chemotherapy and radiation thing, the loss of my Dad and Jean's parents. And in ministry, when I felt so alone and even wondered if I had made a mistake in my calling,
As we reflect on the trials we've overcome, it becomes evident that our past holds profound lessons waiting to be shared with the world. Don't waste the hard times from your past. You went through it for a reason and if you don't use it to help and encourage others, you went through it for no reason.
