It's Like Having Instant Access To A Doctor, Physical Trainer, Dietitian, And Phycologist For Free

If you already have one you know probably what I am talking about. If you don't, and want to improve your health, you may want to consider purchasing a Health/Fitness watch. It's true. *If you don't measure your health, how do you know if you are getting better or worse.

With the touch of a finger you can check your blood pressure, your heart bpm, your stress level, and calories burned, For me it was a reality check on how much exercise I was really getting by keeping up with the steps I was having in a day. And the best part is it cost less than the co-pay for an emergency room visit.

I bought my first Health/Fitness watch after my second heart attack 5 years ago. HERE ARE SOME THINGS I wished I'd known before I purchased my first Health Watch.

1. More is not necessarily better: You don't have to spend more money for more technology (that you will probably never use) to get a good health watch. Since the prices have dropped and the technology has improved you can get a health watch with all the above capabilities for as little as $49 (Vital Fit H86-IP68/ Rated 9.8 w/3600 reviews)

2. Bigger Might be Better: Unless you have 20/20 vision the bigger face is the easier to read and the more features visible at one time.

3. If you take meds make sure it is equipped with the ability to set medication reminders as well.

4. If you are active: walker, hiker, play pickleball or are just concerned with falling, then you will want to make sure it has fall detection. They have ability to automatically detect a fall and send a message to a loved one.

5. Make It Comfortable: Some military type health watches with more features than you will use are sometimes awkward and bulky.

6. Check the app in advance to make sure it is as user friendly as you need it to be.

Looking forward to hearing about how many steps you are getting a day. Here are my steps for the day before I wrote this post. It's a great reminder of how much exercise I really get, not what I think I am getting.

*Something to think about
